Critical Thinking: An Introduction to Analytical Reading and Reasoning ReviewI have used this text in my own critical thinking course over a dozen times. The text may be more challenging than others, but it is also more rewarding. The emphasis of the text is on developing our linguistic skills to be on par with our already-developed reasoning skills. This makes us more reflective, and more articulate, reasoners. The book uses examples culled from newspapers which makes for engrossing student activities. This also helps students see the relevance of applying the material outside the classroom.
One note of caution on the printing: If possible, buy the third printing (or any printing beyond the third). The first two have several compositing errors which seemed to have slipped by the copy editors.
