It helped us find the mainstream attractions... like Volcano National Park and some beautiful beaches. It also helped us find fun places to eat like Verna's in Hilo (packed with locals because the food was so good and the prices so reasonable) and Huli Sue's in Waimea (a fun place to stop for lunch). When used with the GPS, this book was a great "tour guide."
