Using Intensive Interaction and Sensory Integration: A Handbook for Those Who Support People With Severe Autistic Spectrum Disorder ReviewThis is a good book and gives a new perspective to the behavior of those with severe autism. The intensive interaction seems similar to floor time, however I have not studied either in detail. I would have liked more instruction in the intensive interaction but the book is rather thin. The sensory integration perspective is nice but not really "Ayers" SI as I know it, just gives a sensory processing perspective and accommodation model to the unique responses to sensory stimuli that those with autism typically have.
