French Today with Book (Berlitz Today) (French Edition) ReviewThis is an excellent book, especially for the beginner. It is richly illustrated, and there are a lot of situations and topics explained. But, personally, I think this kind of method helps you only to a certain extent. I prefer the books like Langenscheidt's French in 30 hours or French without Toil by Assimil, which make you think in the language, by means of repetition and extensive use of grammar structures and vocabulary, in humorous and interesting situation lessons. I was a little disappointed since I intended to improve my French and I though this one would be more advanced. All I managed to get was a brush-up on a few topics.
