"You Look Great": Strategies for Living Inside a Brain Injury Reviewit is amazing!! I love the wording and the way it is explained! Yeah, only us survivors can really joke about it and understand what others are feeling. Yeah, we are all different but there are some similarities!This is going to sound weird, but this is the best way I can explain what I am feeling. I want to eat your book, devour it, have it part of me. OMG John, I am slowly reading it (i am sure you can understand that) but I am hi lighting stuff too. Its like a text book for me. I am highlighting the same things I have felt and said. WOW!!!! I almost want to cry, because so far it is perfect. I wish I could read it faster. You my dear friend, have hit the nail on the proverbial head.
I am so happy you took the time to do this and to get input from other survivors. Makes me feel not so lonely and not so "weird". That there are people out there like me (to a degree) and that can understand.
I did not have a mild tbi, but I am a high functioning severe TBI survivor. I hate that term...High functioning. I always say, I am too broken to be "normal" and too "normal" to be broken. It's like what the hell am I? Like I don't fit in either world.
