Notch Ear's Sacrifice ReviewThis is a delightful story about the lives of two fox siblings, detailing their growing up, learning to hunt, leaving their parents and starting their own families, told in the voice of one of the brothers. Descriptions of their activities and adventures are both creatively written and well-researched, a tribute to the love the author has for these animals. The author is a teacher and has designed this book to be used as a teaching tool as well as a good read. Various terms are found in bold print, alerting the reader that they may find definitions for these words in the glossary at the back of the book. The language of the story is simple, yet beautifully written, making this book enjoyable for a wide range of ages. As a children's librarian, I have two copies of this book for my library and am purchasing one for my own third-grade daughter as well.Notch Ear's Sacrifice Overview
