Kiss Me Penalties and Love You Bites: The Affection Connection ReviewI am in my 50's now, and I can remember wanting the "Happily Ever After" relationship with a woman since I met a fellow 5 year old named Diane E. when I was in the sandbox in Kindergarden. Unfortunately, even though I have had many decent and fun relationships with many woman since then, I have never had a relationship that lasted longer than about a year. My typical relationship would be great for a short time, and then disagreements would come up (that I must admit I didn't know how to handle very well) and inevitably things would go downhill from there, and eventually things would end, and I would be alone again. I have visited several therapists to try to solve this dilema, but nothing seemed to work. Then I read the "Kiss Me Penalties..." book by the Ewings, and I must say, my new relationship is going great (for almost a year now), and I feel now there is no fighting or problems we can't resolve with a sense of fun, adventure and partnership. We are even starting to talk about marraige -- I am so happy. My girlfriend is just as happy, and since we both read the book several months ago, says our relationship (which was basically on the rocks and heading South) has improved to the point where she now says "This is the best relationship I have ever been in... the one I have always dreamed of". This book is not a magic pill for all relationship problems, but I think that if you are willing to read it, and commit to applying the simple techniques when you find that you are pissed at each other and can't figure out a solution, or if you are having communication problems, then this just might work for you as well as it did for me and Jennifer.

How's Everything The Ultimate Guide for all Waiters and Waitresses Who Want to Dramatically Increase their Tips ReviewI've been involved in hospitality my entire life and worked in the industry for about 4 or 5 years now and plan to stay till the day I die. I can only assume that the industry differs significantly from country to country because as an Australian tips have never been a significant issue,(although that isn't to say they can't be earned!!). The result of this is that if you want to enjoy your job you do everything you can to please your customers, not for money, but so that you can get that 'thankyou' and a sense of pride of a job well done - if I didn't have that sense of job satisfaction, with or without the tips - there is no way i could continue. [job satisfaction in service industry has been proven through studies to improve customer satisfaction, which inturn improves job satisfaction: happy customer mean happy staff which means more happy customers]
Regardless of tips, this book provides insight into the subtlty of language (body and verbal) and the types of presonalities your bound to encounter in the industry. Unless you can be informed about these it is a long and slow and at sometimes painful, learning process and it really is the most important thing you will ever learn, both for job satisfaction, proffesionality and tips!!
If you want to refine your service,find you don't like how customers repond to you or are new to the industry I'd suggest buying this book. If you've worked in the industry for a while and understand the subtlties of how to speak to different types of customers, type of language etc and find all your customers already satisfied, that you have a relationship with them and as a result you yourself are satisfied with your work and efforts, then you may find as I did, this book won't tell you anything you don't already know.

Negotiating For Dummies ReviewNegotiating is not something that I enjoy. Now at least I find it bearable, perhaps even I look forward to it. Why? I now have a clear instruction manual on how to prepare. I especially like the tear out page with movies, books, and other reference material to augment the lessons of the book. F in Exams: The Very Best Totally Wrong Test Answers ReviewOver the years as a college Physics professor I've given out (and graded) and untold number of student exams, tests, quizzes, and homeworks. Sometimes exams were too hard, sometimes students were inadequately prepared, and sometimes they just didn't have enough time to finish answering all the questions appropriately. In those situations I would often get silly or puzzling answers to some of the questions that I had posed. I had always enjoyed those answers (but I still marked them as wrong), and sometimes I would deliberately assign a question or two on an exam that was intended to elicit quirky responses. Therefore, when I came across "F in Exams" I knew this was the kind of book that I'd enjoy. All of the examples in this book (to the best of my knowledge) have been taken from actual student exams, down to the handwritten responses in the blue ink. This level of realism adds to the amusement factor. A few of these test answers (such as the one on the cover) have previously circulated around online, but majority of the answers were new to me. The answers cover most of the major disciplines and subjects - math, physics, psychology, chemistry, biology, etc. The answers were actually funny, and not merely amusing.
