Although this book was filled to the brim with great advice I had to constantly re direct my attention. I understand that this was a non fiction self help book but I mean come on a little help with entertainment would have be great. This book read like a text book and I felt like I was lecturing myself in my own head. On the other hand it is full of helpful advice about the search and holding of the perfect for you relationship.

Crash Course in Love ReviewI finished this book in about 2 1/2 hours (rented it from my local library) and I am very happy with the results. I've read other dating books ("He's Just Not That Into You", "Don't Be That Girl", and "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man") and while they're good, there have been things in those books that I don't agree with. This is a book where I believe that Steve and JoAnn really hit the nail on the head. I think we are so consumed with hanging onto dates that don't give us females the time of day, and also over-texting and giving out too much information on a first date. This book really takes it back to the way dating should really be. My favorite line was about not being picky, but knowing what you want subjectively. Also, I love how they talk about not devaluing yourself. It's definitely a confidence booster for those females who wonder what they're doing wrong. It's hard not to read this book and go, "Oh, i've done that...oops." and learn from your mistakes. Anyway, this is a great book and I will definitely reccommend it to all of my friends.Crash Course in Love Overview

I purchased this book and started reading every part of it, I was determined to make this dog a good dog. It worked, everyone that knows my dog Ranger cannot believe the progress that was made with him.
This book helps you think the way the dog thinks and is very helpful from that point of view. I would recommend this book for anyone who ownes a dog-----especially a puppy!!!!!!

Stop Being Manipulated ReviewI owe my sanity to this book. I was (am?) somebody who was manipulated by my co-workers, family, friends and even my wife. In desperation I picked and read this book. I have since defended myself and I feel much better about myself. As a matter of a fact my wife just tried to insult and bully me before I wrote this. I have neutralized the feelings of guilt and anger I used to feel and bounced it right back to her. I feel great, unfortunately she doesn't. One of the most important things the authors say is that in any manipulation is that the manipulator is actually paying you a compliment. The manipulator feels you are superior in some way to him or her. Upon knowing this, you objectively can deal with the manipulator and you can actually choose one of the five techniques they teach you. The techniques range from ignoring the attack to a complete reversal. These techniques stop the manipulation and the feeling it evokes dead in its tracks. Once you practice them a few times you will never look at a manipulation quite the same way. I was actually enjoying myself neutralizing my wifes attack. I believe everybody who is being bullied should carry this book. (According to the authors should is a bad word, it creates guilt and is one of the weapons of the manipulator and I don't want to be that.) To rephrase, If you are bullied get the book. I would of given the book 5 stars, but parts and passages of the book are not logically laid out and have to be re-read over to understand them. What the book doesn't have in style, it makes up for it in content. Overall, I feel indebted to the authors, I would love to talk to them or write them and tell them the difference they made in my life. I thoughroughly recommend it.......if your are being manipulated. If you are a manipulator, you SHOULD feel ashamed.Stop Being Manipulated Overview

Kiss Me Penalties and Love You Bites: The Affection Connection ReviewI am in my 50's now, and I can remember wanting the "Happily Ever After" relationship with a woman since I met a fellow 5 year old named Diane E. when I was in the sandbox in Kindergarden. Unfortunately, even though I have had many decent and fun relationships with many woman since then, I have never had a relationship that lasted longer than about a year. My typical relationship would be great for a short time, and then disagreements would come up (that I must admit I didn't know how to handle very well) and inevitably things would go downhill from there, and eventually things would end, and I would be alone again. I have visited several therapists to try to solve this dilema, but nothing seemed to work. Then I read the "Kiss Me Penalties..." book by the Ewings, and I must say, my new relationship is going great (for almost a year now), and I feel now there is no fighting or problems we can't resolve with a sense of fun, adventure and partnership. We are even starting to talk about marraige -- I am so happy. My girlfriend is just as happy, and since we both read the book several months ago, says our relationship (which was basically on the rocks and heading South) has improved to the point where she now says "This is the best relationship I have ever been in... the one I have always dreamed of". This book is not a magic pill for all relationship problems, but I think that if you are willing to read it, and commit to applying the simple techniques when you find that you are pissed at each other and can't figure out a solution, or if you are having communication problems, then this just might work for you as well as it did for me and Jennifer.

Finding A Man Worth Keeping: Dating Secrets that Work ReviewFirst off...I don't read books that often (well, finish them) and I finished Victorya's book in 3 days! (That's fast for me.) Victorya takes her secrets to a new level. I already had my "list" of what I looked for in a husband, but with her guidance was able to finely tune it. I think we women can sometimes struggle in keeping our boundaries these days and she not only encourages us to set firm boundaries, but gives us advice on how to keep those boundaries up! We all have an idea of what our future husband will be like. Victorya's technique helps to make that image more concrete for not just us, but for our "cheerleaders" as well. I'm the type that doesn't like to ask for help, but Victorya has shown me that getting people involved in my relationships (a no-no in the past for me) will help me keep my focus and keep me from being heartbroken by a man not worth keeping. Her book not only gives enlightenment and encouragement, it gets the reader to look more deeply into their own past, present, and future relationships (through journaling) as a means of healing, self-evaluation and preparation for finding their "man worth keeping."
